Area of Interest

I am interested in the effects of conventional tobacco, and e-cigarettes on the lung. As part of my program, I am studying whether chronic e-cigarette use leads to increases in secreted proteases that are associated with inflammation, lung damage and cancer metastasis. I also study how e-cigarette use can alter genes/proteins involved in cancer.
