UNC Lineberger Excellence Award

The UNC Lineberger Excellence Award is a prestigious award given to one exceptional colleague who has demonstrated the following:

Leadership

• Demonstrated ability to step up, take initiative, and willingness to lead others
• Championed a positive approach to change and opportunity and displayed a high level of responsibility and resourcefulness

Innovation

• Established or improved the efficiency of processes, methods, and/or practices.
• This is an ideal area to nominate an employee who has thought of and implemented a suggestion that has proven successful

Customer Service

• Provided exceptional service that leaves a lasting impression on the customer(s) by going above and beyond to help

Spirit of UNC Lineberger Culture

• A warm, welcoming, happy, healthy, and productive work culture that aligns with UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center
• Made outstanding contributions toward enhancing the quality and morale of the workplace (such as positive personal interaction with other colleagues, working on relations internally within UNC Lineberger or collaboration between different units)

Award Information

• Submissions will need to include examples of all Excellence Award categories and provide full details/examples

• The annual award is given to one staff member
• Nominations accepted in October
• Winner announced in December
• Prize: SEAC monetary prize of $500 gift card; recipient recognized at symposiums and annual Director’s Lunch; recognition in UNC Lineberger communications (i.e., internal newsletters)
