Basch calls for more data on prostate cancer detection technology in JAMA editorial

Carey named newly elected member of ASCO Nominating Committee
Lisa Carey, MD, medical director of the UNC Breast Center, division chief of hematology and oncology at the UNC School of Medicine, and physician-in-chief of the N.C. Cancer Hospital, has been named to the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Nominating Committee. An ASCO member since 1997, Carey will serve a three-year term on the committee.

UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center appoints two clinical research leadership positions
E. Claire Dees, MD, associate professor of medicine, and Peter Voorhees, MD, associate professor of medicine, have been appointed to leadership positions in UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Dees will serve as medical director of the Clinical Protocol Office and Dr. Voorhees will serve as chair of the Protocol Review Committee.
