Research Interests
My current research is focused on the tumour-suppressive role of insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) in pancreatic cancer. IGFBP7 is modulated by dietary energy balance and may be a potential intervention target for preventing pancreatic cancer.
Prior to graduate school, I was a research coordinator at Duke University Medical Center. As a coordinator, I was involved with several clinical research projects investigating the impact of weight loss interventions and protein supplementation in older adults.
Since 2012, I have been the Managing Editor for the Journal of Nutrition in Gerontology and Geriatrics.
