Mary E. King

Prior to Mary’s arrival to Chapel Hill in 2011, she worked for the President Pro Tempore of the NC Senate for 15 years, and served as Director of Legislative Research and Member Services. While at the NC Senate, Mary had the pleasure of working directly with all branches of government and constituents throughout NC and beyond. Mary studied Business Administration at Shaw University and is presently working toward a degree in Mass Communication and Public Relations at North Carolina Central University. Mary is the Operations Coordinator for the UNC Cancer Network. She provides support for all aspects of video conferencing, monitors weekly tumor boards, steps in to solve technical problems, coordinates and executes annual conferences, assist with interviews across Lineberger, along with working to ensure that all day-to-day operations run smoothly. Mary is also an active member of the Employee Forum at UNC, where she is a member of the Personnel Issues Committee and Parking Appeals Committee.
