Cancer support on social media: Sharing the good and reducing the bad
Allison Lazard, PhD, investigates how to best design health communication to deliver critical information and cancer support. She is currently leading and collaborating on interdisciplinary efforts to improve cancer support on social media – by sharing the good and reducing the bad. Dr. Lazard will share her evidence-based communication science for how individuals with cancer are using social media for support, ongoing collaborations to promote psychosocial interventions on social media, and strategies to reduce potentially harmful cancer misinformation.
