Lecture Description

When there is damage to the heart muscle, we call this cardiotoxicity. Brian Jensen, MD, will talk about underlying mechanisms for the cardiotoxicity of kinase inhibitors used to treat cancer.

Lecture Objectives:

• Recognize that kinase inhibitors used in cancer treatment can have adverse cardiovascular effects
• Recall potential mechanisms for kinase inhibitor-induced cardiotoxicity
• Identify potential treatments for kinase inhibitor cardiovascular toxicity
