Welcome to CCSP/Palliative Care Grand Rounds
The Palliative Care and Comprehensive Cancer Support Programs (CCSP) co-organize weekly presentations on the care of seriously ill patients and their families, including individuals living with cancer, relevant to interdisciplinary clinicians. Individual topics address pain and symptom management, communication approaches with patients and families, strategies to facilitate coping and support, quality improvement, and research in these disciplines.

Palliative Care in the ICU
Bio: I am an ICU doctor and clinical researcher at Duke. My work can be summed up best with the reply I always give when my daughter asks what I did during the day: ‘I just try to make people feel better.’ I have conducted / am conducting numerous clinical trials using digital interventions that focus on addressing racial disparities in healthcare, improving ICU-based palliative care delivery, and delivering of self-guided therapies for psychological distress. I’ve also been lucky enough to mentor a number of researchers whose talents humble me daily.
