Welcome to CCSP/Palliative Care Grand Rounds
The Palliative Care and Comprehensive Cancer Support Programs (CCSP) co-organize weekly presentations on the care of seriously ill patients and their families, including individuals living with cancer, relevant to interdisciplinary clinicians. Individual topics address pain and symptom management, communication approaches with patients and families, strategies to facilitate coping and support, quality improvement and research in these disciplines.
To Tell or Not to Tell: Exploring the Dilemma of Therapeutic Nondisclosure
Lauren attended medical school in North Carolina at Campbell University. She completed her Med-Peds residency followed by a chief year at MetroHealth in Cleveland, Ohio. She is currently the Peds track Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellow. She is still trying to narrow down her many clinical interests but she particularly enjoys DEI work, ethics and caring for children and adults with complex medical conditions. She lives in Apex with her husband Paul, their two dogs Ted and Cooper, and their two-month old daughter Violet
