CCSP: Caring for Caregivers of children with medical complexity – 7/31/2024

Welcome to CCSP/Palliative Care Grand Rounds

The Palliative Care and Comprehensive Cancer Support Programs (CCSP) co-organize weekly presentations on the care of seriously ill patients and their families, including individuals living with cancer, relevant to interdisciplinary clinicians. Individual topics address pain and symptom management, communication approaches with patients and families, strategies to facilitate coping and support, quality improvement and research in these disciplines.

Bio:

Lindsay attended medical school at George Washington University in DC. She completed pediatric resident at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago where she also worked for a year as a BMT hospitalist before moving to Columbus, OH to complete her hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She currently splits her time between pediatric palliative care and pediatric complex care here at UNC. She is passionate about health equity, disability rights and trauma informed care. She has a growing expertise caring for children and adolescents with severe neurologic impairment with a big interest in neurodegenerative genetic disorders.
