Happy New Year from the UNCLCN Team

Dear UNC Lineberger Cancer Network Friend,

I want to extend our collective wishes for a Happy New Year!!! I hope that you have had the opportunity to get some well-deserved rest prior to the start of 2022.

Our group had the good fortune to spend the morning of December 16th participating in facilitated team-building activities at the Carolina Outdoor Education Center. This was the first time that some of our team members had been able to meet in person. It was a great opportunity to bring our staff together for some masked, socially distanced exercises developed to improve the cohesiveness and effectiveness of our organization (and have some fun in the process). Please see the photos below:

We will be kicking off 2022 with three exciting lectures:

  •  Wednesday, January 12th at noon: Our Patient-Centered Care Lecture – Pet Therapy in Oncology – Lyn Filip, RN, BSN – NCPD/CNE, ACPE, ASRT, & CTR Credit Available
  • Wednesday, January 19th at 4:00 PM: Our APP Lecture – Key Concepts and Complications: Managing Cancer-Associated Thrombosis – Cassiopeia Frank, MMSc, PA-C – NCPD/CNE Credit Available

As always, if live lectures do not fit your schedule, check out our free self-paced, for-credit lectures at: https://learn.unclcn.org/content/self-paced-online-courses

Always quality oncology education. Always free. We hope to see you there.

Wishing you continued strength and fortitude in these challenging times,

Tim
