In the United States, cancer is the second most common cause of death after heart disease. With a yearly incidence of approximately 500/100,000 and approximately 15,000,000 cancer survivors, every internist is going to see a patient with cancer, even if he/she is not an oncologist. High-quality care involves coordination and team building between the primary team and the oncology team throughout the patient’s cancer condition. Subspecialty residents in fields other than oncology, will continue to see these patients, through diagnostic testing, and assisting with management of treatment side effects.

These courses are a critical addition to the learning platform for medicine residents. Medicine residency is the time to build knowledge that is the foundation the career in the field. The video library permits the learner to access the material at quiet times and during point of care.
