Patient Centered Care (PCC)

The Cancer Treatment in North Carolina: Patient Centered Care webinar series covers components of patient-centered health care delivery in cancer treatment and survivorship. The focus of this series is not disease-specific but includes a discussion of approaches to improving care delivery for all cancer patients and survivors.

These webinars are intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, physician assistants, radiologic technologists, researchers, pharmacists, trainees, allied health personnel, and others who are interested in care for patients and survivors in North Carolina.

Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Created and coordinated by Tammy Triglianos, DNP, ANP-BC, AOCNP, in partnership with the UNC Lineberger Cancer Network.

The mission of Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Grand Rounds is to provide a forum for high-quality oncology-based content. The purpose of this monthly series is to share expertise and create a structured network for our vast community by promoting professional development, creating opportunities for collaboration, and using evidence-based education to increase knowledge and skills to foster ongoing quality patient care. The intended audience is APPs across multidisciplinary cancer care and other professionals.

Research to Practice (R2P)

Cancer Treatment in North Carolina: Research to Practice (formerly Medical and Surgical Oncology) webinars cover the spectrum of anti-cancer therapy, with a focus on recent research developments, both locally and at large, and what’s ready for regular practice. Perspectives from medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgery will be included. The webinar series will incorporate an understanding of practice dynamics and concerns throughout the state of North Carolina, and the availability of clinical trials and subspecialty expertise to inform care.

These webinars are intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, radiologic technologists, researchers, pharmacists, trainees, and others who are interested in the care of patients with cancer in North Carolina.

Southeastern American Indian Cancer Health Equity (SAICEP)

A collaboration between the NCI Comprehensive Cancer Centers at Duke, UNC Lineberger, and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist

The Southeastern American Indian Cancer Health Equity Partnership (SAICEP) is a unique collaboration initiated by the Community Outreach and Engagement teams at the NCI Comprehensive Cancer Centers at Duke, UNC Lineberger, and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, with a focus on understanding and addressing the cancer-related health needs of American Indian communities in our catchment areas and beyond. The partnership offers culturally competent research, education, and community engagement for American Indian tribal communities. Tribal and community organizations and leaders, as well as clinical and academic institutions, are encouraged to be a part of our efforts.

NC Community College Oncology (CCO)

The program is co-provided with the North Carolina Community College System

These webinars are designed for students enrolled in health sciences programs and community colleges across the state of North Carolina.

The North Carolina Community College Oncology webinars provide opportunities for students to become more familiar with strategies necessary for caring for cancer patients with the goal of improving cancer care and elevating interest in and awareness of oncology-related professions.
