The UNC Lineberger Cancer Network assists with many Zoom webinars and events. Below you will find some helpful tips and checklist for how to prepare as a presenter.

Do I have what I need?

When joining a Zoom meeting or webinar as a presenter, you will want to make sure you join using the Zoom App. This way you have the most control options, easier managing audio/video permissions, and better visibility of your audience.

What about my presentation?

Presenters will probably have a PowerPoint or Apple Keynote file that they will want to share.

For our Telehealth Webinar presenters, please note the following:

  • Please provide your final presentation file at least 24 hours before your webinar
  • We will share your slides from our computers in order to facilitate our polling software
  • You will still be able to control the progression of your slides with the use of the Zoom Slide Control feature
  • Please see these notes and requirements for our Telehealth presenters

Can you hear me?

One of the most common issues and frustrations with video conferencing is audio. Please see the following tips how how to avoid these issues before your meeting or webinar:

  • Test your audio before your meeting
  • Change your audio devices in settings
  • Know when your muted or not on your controls
  • We recommend using headphones to avoid any feedback issues with your mic

How do I look?

It’s not a video conference without video! Here are a couple helpful tips to maximize your video presence:
