The UNC Lineberger Cancer Network offers FREE continuing education credits (CME, NCPD/CNE, ACPE, ASRT, and CTR) for oncology professionals. We recruit UNC faculty and other oncology professionals to deliver webinars on the latest treatments, clinical trials, and supportive services available to North Carolina cancer patients.
Patient Centered Care
The Cancer Treatment in North Carolina: Patient Centered Care webinar series covers components of patient-centered health care delivery in cancer treatment and survivorship. The focus of this series is not disease-specific but includes discussion of approaches to improving care delivery for all cancer patients and survivors.These webinars are intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, physician assistants, radiologic technologists, researchers, pharmacists, trainees, allied health personnel, and others who are interested in care for patients and survivors in North Carolina.
FREE Continuing Education Credits
Upon successful completion of the requirements, most webinars offer:
- 1.0 contact hour (NCPD/CNE) from Greensboro AHEC
- 1.0 ACPE contact hour from the UNC School of Pharmacy (on select webinars)
- 1.0 Category A credit from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT)
- 1.0 CTR credit from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)
- a general certificate of completion

Advanced Practiced Provider
The mission of Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Grand Rounds is to provide a forum for high-quality oncology-based content. The purpose of this monthly series is to share expertise and create a structured network for our vast community by promoting professional development, creating opportunities for collaboration, and using evidence-based education to increase knowledge and skills to foster ongoing quality patient care. The intended audience is APPs across multidisciplinary cancer care and other professionals.

Research to Practice
Cancer Treatment in North Carolina: Research to Practice (formerly Medical and Surgical Oncology) webinars cover the spectrum of anti-cancer therapy, with a focus on recent research developments, both locally and at large, and what’s ready for regular practice. Perspectives from medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgery will be included. The webinar series will incorporate an understanding of practice dynamics and concerns throughout the state of North Carolina, and the availability of clinical trials and subspecialty expertise to inform care.
These webinars are intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, radiologic technologists, researchers, pharmacists, trainees, and others who are interested in care of patients with cancer in North Carolina.
