A UNC Lineberger Cancer Network Monitored Tumor Board.
The genitourinary oncology tumor board is held every Thursday from 1:15-3:00 to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary review of patients with cancers including prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular and other urologic malignancies seen in the Genitourinary Oncology Multidisciplinary Clinic. Participants include attending physicians with expertise in the management of genitourinary cancers from medical oncology, urology, radiation oncology, radiology, and pathology as well as genetic counselors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse navigators, clinical trial research coordinators and most importantly our trainees including fellows, residents and medical students. Individual patient care plans are developed based on national guidelines were appropriate and the highest level of clinical evidence where guideline-directed therapy is not available. Clinical trials are reviewed for potential patient eligibility and participation.
