Every Tuesday from 7:30 – 8:30 AM EDT/EST

The multidisciplinary thoracic oncology tumor board (MTOP) is held every Tuesday from 7:30-8:30. It is attended by attending physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses and trainees from each of the major disciplines–medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, radiology, pathology, pharmacy and clinical trial coordinators to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary review of the patients being presented.  Appropriate care plans are developed using guidelines that were appropriate and the highest level of clinical data where guideline-directed therapy is not available. Clinical trials are reviewed for potential patient eligibility and referrals are discussed as appropriate.
