It is our pleasure to announce that UNCLCN is currently in the process of making our move from ITS Manning to Carr Mill in Carrboro. We are located at Suite D-15 which is on the second level of the mall. This move has been an all-hands-on-deck process and by the end of February our office will be moved and by the end of June the studio will follow.

The Carr Mill is beautiful and rich in history as it was formerly known as the Alberta Cotton Mill which was built in 1898. In 1913 it was renamed “Venable” after the president of the University of North Carolina at the time but was later closed in 1930. It was reopened in 1945 through the 1960s. In 1974 the mill was renovated and opened back up as Carr Mill Mall.

Pictured above you can see some of our team packing up the office at ITS Manning and pictures of our new space at Carr Mill.

We share the space at Carr Mill with The Community Outreach and Engagement Group (COE), The UNC Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network, and others. It has been great getting to know everyone so far and they have all been so welcoming as our team completes the move.
