Writing Learning Objectives

When composing Learning Objectives, it is easiest to identify the three or four most important takeaways from the lecture that you want attendees to remember. Use those three takeaways to formulate the Webinar Objectives.

As an example, Thomas Alexander, MD, MPH, presented on “Meeting the Unique Needs of Pediatric Oncology Patients” and used the following:

  • Describe the epidemiology of childhood cancer and the growing number of survivors
  • List the challenges and opportunities facing clinicians (and children and families) during intensive multi-modal therapy
  • Discuss novel frontiers of precision medicine and immunotherapy in pediatric oncology

Also, if you plan to discuss staging in your presentation, please put it in one of the learning objectives.
