Research Study Group – Twitter

December 11, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Twitter has evolved into more than just a social media service. It has become a platform for scientists to share their findings and connect with fellow scientists from around the world. In addition to a venue for individual scientists to communicate “science”, Twitter is also heavily used by laboratories, scientific journals, advocacy groups, pharmaceutical companies, government agencies and more. This month’s Research Study Group is all about how to effectively tweet (when and what to # and @), as well as how to use Twitter to network with your peers, communicate with the public, and stay up on the latest research and science related news. The discussion will be led by Dr. Joshua Hall on December 11, from 9:30-10:30. In addition to running a successful podcast Hello PhD, Dr. Hall is the Director of Admissions for the  Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP) and Director of UNC PREP. Please join us!

Breakfast and Coffee will be served!
