Older patients with advanced cancer are at high risk of toxicity from treatment. Treatment tolerability is important to assess as poor tolerability can impact functional outcomes and quality of life. However, the framework of tolerability assessment in trials has focused on clinician rated determination of adverse events. We will propose a framework that integrates the patient experience into tolerability assessment for older adults with cancer receiving treatment.
