The National Lung Screening Trial showed reduced mortality for high-risk smokers screened with low dose CT compared to chest x-ray. As screening moves into community settings, it is imperative to monitor and adjust lung screening programs to assure equitable cancer control for all racial and ethnic groups. The focus of this presentation will be on the present state of lung cancer screening for African Americans.
