Historically, many treatment- and disease-related complications have been accepted as inherent components of cancer treatment. However, efforts to improve cancer care quality increasingly focus on identifying and preventing complications that are predictable and avoidable. In this talk, Dr. Brooks will discuss his research into avoidable chemotherapy-associated hospitalizations, chemotherapy treatment delays, and deaths related to fluoropyrimidine chemotherapy.
The Cancer Outcomes Research Program Virtual Seminar Series is organized by Drs. Ethan Basch, Stephanie Wheeler, and Matthew Nielsen. Please log into the Zoom meeting between 7:45 am and 8:00 am to help us take attendance prior to the meeting so we can start on time.
