Caprice C. Greenberg, MD, MPH is the Colin G. Thomas, Jr., MD Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Greenberg is a surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer and a health services researcher focusing on quality and safety. Her research has been supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Her research centers on enhancing the quality, safety, and value of surgical care through the lens of health services research and implementation science. She has established several organizations to ensure research impacts practice, including the Surgical Collaborative of Wisconsin and the Academy for Surgical Coaching.
