Dan Reuland, MD MPH is a general internist and health services researcher focused on making delivery of cancer screening more effective, appropriate, and patient-centered. This includes testing and implementing interventions aimed at improving communication, decision making, and health behaviors within primary care clinics, public health practice, and larger health systems. He currently chairs the steering committee for the National Cancer Institute program on Accelerating Colorectal Cancer Screening and Follow-Up Through Implementation Science (ACCSIS), one of the Cancer Moonshot research initiatives. At Lineberger, he directs the Carolina Cancer Screening Initiative (CCSI) and collaborates with multiple members of Cancer Outcomes Research Program including Alison Brenner, Stephanie Wheeler, and Louise Henderson. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, soccer, playing guitar, and traveling with his family.
