Marc A. Emerson, PhD is a cancer epidemiologist focused on integrating biological and socioecological perspectives in addressing cancer care disparities and access to care.

He is interested in meaningful (incorporating historical context, non-Western worldviews/methods/interpretation) and impactful (less harm to environment and communities) research that focuses on 1) integrating biology and access to care in addressing cancer care disparities and 2) improving American Indian/Alaskan Native cancer outcomes. He is Diné (Navajo) and Jemez from the Navajo Nation. In his spare time, he enjoys plants, shooting pool and woodworking.
