Danny Bruce graduated from West Texas A&M University in 1999 with a BS in Animal Science and found work in the Ag business. In 2003, Danny chose to seek another career path and continued his education at Penn State, receiving a second BS in Animal Bioscience in 2006. During this time, he worked in the lab of Dr. Avery August and because of the great experience, he decided to pursue his doctorate in immunology. In the fall of 2006, Danny began his doctoral training and joined the lab of Margherita Cantorna. Danny received his PhD in 2010 and joined the Serody lab in 2012 after a short time working in a clinical lab. Danny studies the role of type 2 innate lymphoid cells during graft-versus-host disease.
In his free time, Danny enjoys being a husband and father and hanging out with his Disney nerds.
