Oleg Kolupaev’s work is focused on understanding the development of innate lymphoid cells and their interplay with the microenvironment in the bone marrow in the context of graft-versus-host disease. He received a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Alabama-Birmingham where he studied signaling pathways involved in the development of B lymphocytes in the bone marrow. Prior to graduate school, Oleg completed his studies in immunology and cell biology at St. Petersburg State University.
