Congratulations Maddy Jenner for acceptance into the UNC CCBTP (Cancer Cell Biology Training Program) T32! Maddy is currently a graduate student in Yeh Lab.  

Dr. Kearney is a recipient of the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association 2021 Steve Sotsky Award. This annual award recognizes outstanding work in the field of pancreatic research by a trainee.

Dr. Xianlu (Laura) Peng was awarded a Spring 2021 UNC Lineberger Innovation Award, for the project title, “Interrogation of epigenetic disparities in minority population for precision medicine in gastric cancer”.

Dr. Deborah Weighill, current post-doctoral trainee in Yeh lab, will be funded by the for Pope Fellowship Award for a period of 2 years, effective July 1, 2021.  Congratulations!  

Congratulations to Sandra (Sandy) Zarmer on receiving the NIH F31 Pre-Doctoral Fellowship!  Sandy is a Graduate Research Assistant of the Department of Pharmacology. 

The Committee on Faculty Research and Scholarly Leaves has approved Dr. Laura (Xianlu) Peng, Assistant Professor in the Pharmacology Department, for a Junior Faculty Development Award. The award amount is $10,000. Congratulations!
