MD/PhD Student

I am an MD/PhD student, currently a graduate student in the Cell Biology & Physiology Department. I’m originally from Northern California and got my BS in Biology and Biochemistry at Arizona State University. At ASU my research focused on developing DNA origami nanostructures as novel cancer therapeutics. After graduating I spent a few years as a post-bacc researcher with the US Army at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. I joined the UNC MD/PhD program in 2020 and have since completed the first two years of medical school. For my PhD studies I am investigating the role of the transcription factor NFkB in CD8 T cell differentiation in response to cancer. Outside of lab I enjoy trying different restaurants and cocktail bars in the triangle area.
