Postdoctoral Position

Person wearing a white coat at a lab station filling a contatiner. We are seeking highly motivated and creative researchers to investigate transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms controlling T-cell function and persistence in cancer. We will utilize cutting-edge molecular, genetic, and immunological approaches to identify novel strategies for enhancing T cell activity and immunotherapy efficacy, including checkpoint blockade, adoptive cell therapies (such as CAR-T cells), and vaccines.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in molecular biology, mouse genetics, and/or immunology. Additionally, knowledge of basic bioinformatic analyses is preferable. UNC offers a highly collaborative and supportive environment with excellent core facilities and state-of-the-art instruments.

Interested candidates should provide a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references to Justin Milner (Justin_Milner@med.unc.edu).

Students

Interested in the intersection of immunology, cancer biology, genetics, and molecular biology? Students are welcome to rotate in the Milner lab to investigate how T cells function in the tumor microenvironment and explore how to use this information to improve cancer therapies.
