Barbara Walsh, DNP, MPH, MSN, RN

Barbara Walsh is a Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for education and public health. A lifelong learner, she has a BA in Biology from the State University of New York at Oswego, a BS in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine, an MPH/MS in Community Health Nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus in public health. Barbara has been an RN for 40 years, the majority of which has been in public health nursing. She has also been a nurse educator for over a dozen years. As a nurse planner, she is excited to share in the process of ensuring quality continuing education for nurses. This means each continuing education offering meets all the criteria of the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Barbara is thrilled to be back with the UNC Lineberger Cancer Network family, having worked as a nurse planner from 2019-2021 while at the UNC SON Center for Lifelong Learning and then the Friday Center’s Continuing Nursing Education.
