Synthetic Immunology.

Our goal is to unleash the full potential of our immune cells! The Chung lab is exploring the crossroads of synthetic biology, immunology, and cancer biology to engineer T cells to achieve maximum therapeutic efficacy at the right place and time! Particularly, we are programming T cell differentiation states with synthetic transcription factors/immune receptors by employing protein engineering, next-gen sequencing, CRISPR screening, and bioinformatics.

Join us on an exciting journey to shape the future of fully programmable immunity!

Our lab is located in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina and is part of the Department of Cell Biology & Physiology.
