Welcome to CCSP/Palliative Care Grand Rounds

The Palliative Care and Comprehensive Cancer Support Programs (CCSP) co-organize weekly presentations on the care of seriously ill patients and their families, including individuals living with cancer, relevant to interdisciplinary clinicians. Individual topics address pain and symptom management, communication approaches with patients and families, strategies to facilitate coping and support, quality improvement and research in these disciplines.

Scott Janssen, MA, MSW, LCSW

After Death Communication

Bio:
Scott Janssen is a hospice social worker at UNC Hospice. He has written extensively about clinical social work practice with a special focus on both trauma-informed care for patients who are terminally ill and transpersonal end of life experiences. His work has appeared in dozens of publications, including Social Work Today, Psychotherapy Networker, American Journal of Nursing, Reader’s Digest, HuffPost and The Washington Post.
