CCSP/Palliative Care Grand Rounds

 

Welcome to CCSP/Palliative Care Grand Rounds

The Palliative Care and Comprehensive Cancer Support Programs (CCSP) co-organize weekly presentations on the care of seriously ill patients and their families, including individuals living with cancer, relevant to interdisciplinary clinicians. Individual topics address pain and symptom management, communication approaches with patients and families, strategies to facilitate coping and support, quality improvement and research in these disciplines.

Dr. Chandy Nighingale

Caregiver Engagement Practices in Community Oncology Settings

 

Bio:

Dr. Nightingale is an Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Department of Social Sciences and Health Policy and a member of the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest Baptist Health. Dr. Nightingale serves on the NCORP Cancer Care Delivery Research Executive Steering Committee and is Co-Chair of the Wake Forest NCORP Research Base. As a behavioral scientist who conducts research in the area of cancer survivorship, she seeks to improve the health and well-being of informal (unpaid) cancer caregivers and survivors. Her programmatic research has primarily focused on developing scalable, technology-based interventions to improve delivery of supportive care to cancer caregivers.
