Angelo Volandes, MD, will serve as keynote speaker. Volandes will provide expertise into the science and clinical practice of communicating with patients. He is a physician, writer and patients' rights advocate who practices internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, and is on the faculty at Harvard Medical School. UNC School of Medicine Office of Research, the NC TraCS Institute and UNC Health Care will host a symposium and workshop to define the main areas of our efforts.
