Area of interest

Carrie Lee, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology and a medical oncologist who specializes in melanoma and lung cancer. She has particular interest  in early phase clinical trials and the development of novel therapeutics in these tumor types.  Dr. Lee is the Medical Director of UNC Lineberger's Clinical Protocol Office and oversees the clinical, regulatory, compliance, financial and data management for all of the therapeutic clinical trials run out of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.  She is also the Medical Director of the UNC Cancer Hospital's Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) where many of our patients are treated for the first time with novel therapeutics on early phase clinical trials.  Dr. Lee has a passion for providing compassionate oncology care, leading an excellent team of clinical trials staff,  as well as advancing the science behind the development of new anti-cancer treatments.
