Area of Interest

Surgical resection of head and neck malignancies is highly morbid. The proximity of important neurovascular structure as well as the frequent involvement of the dura frequently result in intra- and post-operative leakage of cerebrospinal fluid into the sinonasal cavity. Unchecked, this can have devastating consequences. I am specifically interested in the use of localized flaps for reconstruction of the skull base as well as methods to reduce morbidity after the harvest of these flaps.
