Area of Interest

I chose to become a doctor because I find it incredibly rewarding to be able to be a partner with patients to work together to find the best treatments for their disease. I also love science and there is great beauty in understanding how the human body works. Being able to translate this love of science into a career that can help others is incredibly fulfilling. My philosophy of care is that the partnership formed between a patient and his or her doctor is the fulcrum upon which everything in medicine revolves around. I believe that the highest quality care comes with engaging patients to become active partners in managing their disease.

My areas of special interest include endocrinology, diabetes management, cell metabolism and cancer cell metabolism, glucose and fructose metabolism.
