Jennifer Leeman,DrPH, MPH, MDiv, is a UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center member and implementation scientist with expertise in designing and testing multi-level strategies to implement and scale-up evidence-based interventions, with a focus on interventions to prevent chronic illness and reduce health disparities.

Area of Interest

Dr. Jennifer Leeman is an implementation scientist. She has extensive experience applying mixed methods approaches to adapt, tailor, and test multilevel interventions and implementation strategies. In this research, she engages community partners in formative research to identify multilevel factors that may influence intervention effectiveness and implementation. She then engages partners in intervention adaptation and the co-design of implementation strategies.

As a team scientist, Dr. Leeman has collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to adapt and implement interventions in diverse settings, including primary care clinics, departments of public health, Federally Qualified Health Centers, skilled nursing facilities, nurse home visitor programs, and rural emergency departments, with a focus on reducing disparities in underserved populations.
