Melissa Holt, DNP, PMHNP-BC, MSW, is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a unique focus of intersecting psychiatric care with oncology. Prior to joining CCSP, she worked as a nurse practitioner in a private psychiatric practice, an oncology nurse navigator, an inpatient oncology nurse, a hospice and home health social worker, and an inpatient oncology social worker.
She has always had a passion for working with people with cancer and focusing on their psychosocial needs. She has a special interest in anxiety and mood disorders and how critical illness impacts the treatment and care of these patients. Her role with CCSP is to provide psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy for the patients receiving care at UNC Cancer Hospital.
