The Joseph S. Pagano Award was established in 2002 to annually recognize noteworthy papers authored by UNC Lineberger postdoctoral fellows. Winners are selected through a competitive process and are honored for their authorship of articles in high-impact journals.
UNC Cancer Care is hosting its annual UNC Cancer Survivors Day from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 9, at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill. Event highlights include a keynote talk by Chris Draft, Cancer advocate, 12 year National Football League veteran and a widower who lost his wife to lung cancer. There also will be interactive educational talks and discussions for cancer survivors and their caregivers. Lunch and snacks will be provided. The event is free, but registration is required.
