Erbstoesser knew early in her career that she wanted to help patients navigate all stages of the cancer journey. In her new role, she hopes to help patients who are experiencing financial challenges while undergoing treatment.

The Mary Anne Long Patient and Family Resource Center at the N.C. Basnight Cancer Hospital hosted its annual Caregiver Thanksgiving Luncheon for patients and families.

For years, Eileen Sparks enjoyed making doll clothes for her granddaughter and family friends, and after her own battle with cancer, she found a new way to share her talent with some very deserving young patients at the N.C. Cancer Hospital.

The newly established community garden at SECU Family House honors the legacy of the late Zeny Datiles, who was a dietician at UNC Hospitals, and provides a healthy respite -- and fresh vegetables -- for patients and their families.
