From The Garden

Dear UNC Lineberger Cancer Network Friends,

Thank you for taking the time to read our latest newsletter. I thought I would take a moment to fill you in on some updates regarding our planning process. As you may know, in the past, we have asked lecture participants to fill out evaluations, as well as an annual survey (for which we are EXTREMELY grateful). This information is painstakingly compiled into a detailed report, thanks to the effort and expertise of Jon Powell, Continuing Education Specialist, UNCLCN. Previously, this data would then be used to inform annual planning meetings, with separate planning teams discussing our Research to Practice and Patient-Centered Care lecture series.

Moving forward, we will be doing all our planning on a “rolling” basis, where we strive to stay six to eight months ahead of schedule with our lectures. It is hoped that we will be scheduled this far out by the end of the year. We will continue to use all your evaluation and survey feedback to inform the selection of the topics and speakers.

We are also scheduling thirty-minute interviews with a variety of oncology experts throughout the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and beyond to further inform our selection of speakers and topics. We will continue to strive to bring you relevant and informative continuing education lectures. Always oncology-related and always free!

The best way to determine those lectures coming up for the next few months is to visit our main page at www.unccn.org .

If you want to see a longer list of upcoming Research to Practice lectures, please visit https://unclineberger.org/unclcn/calendars/r2p/ .

For our Patient-Centered Care series, see https://unclineberger.org/unclcn/calendars/pcc/ .

Be sure to register for our November lectures, listed later in this newsletter.

All the best,

Tim Poe, Director of Telehealth
