What is an EBI?

An evidence based intervention (EBI) is an intervention that has been proven to be effective through evaluation of the interventions outcomes/results. An EBI should be followed as closely has possible to make sure that it works like it is supposed to, but usually there is room to make certain parts of it relate better to a target audience.

The COE office and the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CPCRN) held a training on EBI’s called “Putting Public Health Evidence into Action“, visit the CPCRN site to view the training.
