Icon of puzzle piece with words "student opportunities. Community outreach and engagement"

Lineberger is committed to training the next generation of the public health workforce. The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) has a history of collaborating with talented undergraduate and graduate students to further the mission of our cancer center.  COE values the fresh perspective students bring to our work.

Quote from student Katherine Gora Combs "My time as a capstone student with COE was one of my favorite experiences as a master’s student at UNC! The opportunity to apply the skills I had learned in the classroom to real-world problems was very valuable. I learned so much from the supportive COE staff and the experience was a wonderful complement to my academic training. I would highly recommend working with COE if you have the opportunity!"

Quote from student Natasha Albaneze "I completed by MPH practicum with the Lineberger COE Office. Supporting this welcoming, engaging team as they worked on their Community Assets and Needs Assessment was a great way to apply and build on skills gained through my coursework, including reviewing, interpreting, and summarizing literature and drafting survey materials for research with community members"
