Danny Fitzgerald Ellis, MBA, PhD, is a pastor, college professor, executive director, and president of Ellis Research and Consulting Service, LLC, which specializes in business and systems analysis and growth. He was born and raised in Wilson County, North Carolina. After a brief stint in college, he attended the prestigious U.S. Army Sergeant Major Academy and received the Bronze Star Medal for actions in the Persian Gulf War.

Dr. Ellis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a second degree in Nursing Services from Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio, Texas. He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Health Care Management Degree from East Carolina University and a PhD in human services and research with honors from Capella University. In 2010, he was a William C. Friday Fellow for Leadership and Human Relations. He is a member of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, The United Supreme Council of 33rds, and the NAACP. He believes in the holistic concept of building the total man. He has committed himself and the church to the economic empowerment of people in the community he serves. He trains nationally on leadership and staff/organizational development. He emphasizes that “you can’t teach what you don’t know, and you can’t lead where you won’t go.” He is the proud father of three children. Although Dr. Ellis has preached both nationally and internationally and was a chosen presenter at the prestigious 100th Hampton University Minister’s Conference, he is most proud to be the Pastor of both New Beginnings Christian Center of Rocky Mount, NC and St Paul Baptist Church of Enfield, NC. He lives by the philosophy of “just maybe I can make a difference in someone’s life.”
