Blue Ribbon Run

The Blue Ribbon Run is an annual event raising money and awareness for colorectal cancer research.
The event was founded in 2011 to honor two Wilmington, NC, moms, Julie M. Brown and Christina Gianoplus. The Blue Ribbon Run has established an endowment in their names at UNC Lineberger to help fund research.
Unique in its afternoon start time, The Blue Ribbon Run is a 5K and 1-mile fun run, with an after-race reception at Dockside restaurant. The reception will feature music by Lunar Tide and includes beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway, and a celebration of life and hope for a cure.
