Pedal for Peds is a day of cycling and celebration to bring awareness of childhood cancers and benign blood diseases by raising funds to support research that will improve patient outcomes. Participants can bike up to 50 miles on the beautiful American Tobacco Trail, or take part in hourly spin classes and yoga sessions. The event benefits the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology at UNC Hospitals.

Blue Blood Rivalry 5K Run/Walk – Gridiron Edition

The Blue Blood Rivalry 5K Run/Walk is taking the UNC vs. Duke rivalry to the streets of Chapel Hill to benefit UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and Duke Children's. Kick off the morning of the UNC vs. Duke football game by giving back and having a blast.

Head for the Cure Tailgate

Head for the Cure is heading to North Carolina to watch the Tar Heels take on the Blue Devils on Saturday, Sept. 23. Join them for a tailgate before the game for free food and beverages. You may also purchase game tickets for $20 each through their ticket block by Sept. 15.

42nd Annual Postdoc Faculty Day

The 42nd Annual UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center Postdoc Faculty Day will take place at the Carolina Club at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center, on Oct. 3. The event will feature keynote talks from former postdoctoral trainees Susanna Greer, PhD, and Scott Rothbart, PhD, as well as talks from outstanding postdoctoral fellows and a poster session.

Join UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Tony Williams Main Lobby of the N.C. Cancer Hospital for the 2017 UNC Oncology Excellence Awards Ceremony. These annual awards recognize oncology employees at UNC who demonstrate exceptional work and devotion to individuals with cancer, their families, and to the oncology profession. Awards will be given for oncology nursing as well as oncology service.
