Siddharth Sheth, DO, MPH

The American Association for Cancer Research and American Head and Neck Society recently awarded Siddharth Sheth, DO, MPH, a medical oncology fellow from the UNC School of Medicine Division of Hematology/Oncology, a Scholar-in-Training Award at the AACR-AHNS Head and Neck Cancer Conference held in Austin, Texas, April 29-20.

AACR-AHNS Scholar-in-Training Awards are highly competitive and recognize outstanding young investigators invited to present their latest research on head and neck cancer biology, novel targets, biomarkers, immunology, immunotherapy, tumor microenvironment and response/resistance to therapy.

Sheth received the award to support the project “RNA sequencing of salivary mucoepidermoid carcinoma reveals distinct molecular profiles based on histological grade.” He also gave an oral presentation detailing the study findings at the conference. He is mentored by UNC Lineberger’s Antonio Amelio, PhD, assistant professor in the UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Oral and Craniofacial Health Sciences.
